Did they say it?

Five quotes a day, worded and credited as they are shared. Say whether each is really theirs, in these words, and how sure you are. Then see what is on the page.

How to play

  1. Read the quote as it is shared online, with the name it is credited to.
  2. Say whether they said it, in these words. Someone else’s line, the same thought in other words, or a line on no page at all: the answer is no. A character’s line counts as the writer’s; the answer then says who speaks.
  3. Say how sure you are. A confident mistake costs the most, and it is the one you will remember.

A new game every midnight, your time, the same for everyone. Play on the day for a streak: seven days in a row earn a freeze (two at most), which covers a day you miss. Earlier games stay open, but do not count for the streak.

Your answers and your streak stay in this browser. We count only that a game was finished, and its score (privacy).
